Who is behind this validator
Delegating stake is a trust decision. This page states plainly who operates the infrastructure, what we do and do not claim, and how to check every one of those claims without taking our word for it.
The operator
web3 validator (also written web34ever) is an independent validator and blockchain infrastructure operator, active since 2018. It is not a fund, an exchange, or a custodian. The operation is small and technical: running production validators, keeping them upgraded, monitoring them, participating in governance, and publishing the tooling written along the way.
The work spans proof-of-stake validation on Solana and Cosmos-ecosystem networks, indexer and data infrastructure, pre-mainnet testnet participation, governance monitoring, and public node resources maintained together with POSTHUMAN. The current list of networks, with links to public profiles on each chain, is on the networks section and in machine-readable form at /api/networks.json.
How to verify what this site says
Nothing here needs to be taken on faith. Every performance claim is derived from public on-chain data that anyone can query:
- Solana vote account
ENVaKoD7ytn58xJ8s5htFfQ8hqQt1G9dcPUDqbSwVcgB— check commission, uptime, skip rate, and stake on Stakewiz or any Solana explorer, not on this page. - Code and operational tooling are public on GitHub.
- Identity proofs for our accounts are on Keybase.
- Validator metrics shown on this site are a snapshot refreshed from the Stakewiz API; the raw values, with the date they were taken, are at /api/validator.json.
Editorial policy and the byline
Guides on this site are published under the byline Andrew. To be explicit about it: Andrew is a pen name, not a legal name. It is the editorial identity of the operator described above, who writes the guides personally. Like many infrastructure operators in this field, we work under a pseudonymous public identity — but we would rather say so on the record than imply a person who does not exist.
Andrew is the pen name used by the operator behind web3 validator, who has run proof-of-stake infrastructure since 2018 across Solana, Cosmos-ecosystem chains, and pre-mainnet testnets. The guides here are written from production operations — running validators, handling upgrades, and answering delegator questions — not from a content desk.
What that identity is accountable for: the guides are written from operations, not from a content brief. We do not publish sponsored posts, affiliate placements dressed as recommendations, or AI-generated filler. Numbers are dated and sourced, and when a claim depends on protocol behaviour that could change, the text says when it was true. If you find an error, tell us and it gets corrected with the update date changed.
What we never do
- Take custody of delegated funds. Staking is non-custodial by protocol design.
- Ask for seed phrases, private keys, or token approvals. No exceptions, ever.
- Guarantee rewards, uptime, validator-set inclusion, or absence of slashing.
- Give financial advice. Guides explain mechanics; the decision is yours.
